Kidtropolis, London - October Half-Term 2016

UPDATE: We attended Kidtropolis 2016 on Tuesday afternoon. It is always a special treat to be able to spend extra time with Daddy (Husband) during the week and we enjoyed the friendly staff on the DSL trains on the journey to the ExCel Centre, London. This was the 1st Kidtropolis event and it had some definite challenges. I had been pre-warned via Twitter that there was some issues with long lines for several of the activities. My daughter was looking forward to see Paw Patrol (never saw) but otherwise had no expectations. The long lines were mostly focused on Little Pony bus, Nerf, and climbing wall. My daughter was either two young for long queue events or not interested in visiting the Little Pony bus.

Daughter enjoyed having her face painted and making a dream catcher. Little Brother played with the trains at the Bigjigs stand and enjoyed the soft play area. Even though my children did have fun, they could have had these same experiences in our local town centre during half-term events. We were given free tickets to this event but spent close to £60 for trains and dinner at the train station. I probably need to see major changes to event to attend in the future. It was not worth this year the ticket or train costs. I have shared a video of afternoon at Kidtropolis on LadyBug Home YouTube Channel.

Halloween Crafting 2016 - #SpooktacularCraft

A couple weeks ago we received a box from Viking. Little LadyBug (LL) enjoyed opening the box and discovering the craft supplies that we were sent for some quick and easy Halloween crafting projects. The box contained: lollipops, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, yarn (black, orange and white), white marker pen, glue stick, coloured tissue paper and several patterned scissors.

British Home Love - Week 2 Favourite Finds

I have enjoyed another week of seeing the beautiful home decor photos posted by instagramers. My favourite photos are those showing how people are transition their home decor in reflection of the days getting cooler and leading up to Christmas. The pastel colours are disappearing and being replaced by red, oranges and pumpkins. There is more soft blankets and pine cones appearing. I am continuing to showcase my favourite photos from newly discovered home and lifestyle Instagram accounts in the UK on "British Home Love" account.

Quick and Easy Baked Artichoke Dip Featuring Thomas J. Fudge's

As soon as the leaves starting falling off the trees, I can not help starting to think about comfort food and starting to planning for the Christmas festive period. We have a traditional in my family to have a drink and hor d'oeuvres before Christmas Eve dinner. My maternal Grandmother always made a hot artichoke dip. Not only is the my grandmother's recipe hard to stop eating but also is extremely easy to make.

2016 Me & Mine Portrait Project at LadyBug Home

In 2016, we will be joining in for another year with the "Me and Mine Project" that was created by Lucy of Dear Beautiful. On the last day of each month, I join a group of bloggers to document being a family. There is lots of photos of my husband or I with our children but rare photos of all us together. I have learned how to set the timer on the camera and every month we commit to taking a photo of the four us together.

Search #MeandMineProject on Twitter and Instagram or follow @meandmineproject on Instagram to view the monthly collection of photos.
The Me and Mine Project
SEPTEMBER 2016
September was a busy month and we did not take many photos. This family photo was quickly taken at the park this last weekend. It was early evening but a beautiful cool and bright sunshine day. Little Ladybug was very busy on her scooter so we barely were able to take this family photo. The main event this month was the start of "Big School" for Little Ladybug and everyone adjusting a new weekly schedule. Little Ladybug loves school but does have days when she rather stay home to watch movies. Bumblebee Boy is enjoying spending two mornings with a very caring childminder while I get to focus on some work. I think he still prefers quiet mornings at home with Mommy but he always has fun with the childminder.

We have big news that we are moving in November. Our landlord would like to sell the home we are living in at the moment. Our main priority is to stay within walking distance of Little Ladybug's school. We are starting to decorate with Autumn and Halloween items. We are hoping to take a trip to the pumpkin patch and looking forward to half-term break. We are definitely going to have some "pjs days" during half-term.
