I previously used Pale Turquoise and Broken White on my bench project and Blue Indigo on my white cube storage boxes project. The two new colours for this month were Turquoise and Mint Green.

Make It By The Book - Plastic Bead Bowl Project
My daughter requests to start painting or crafting shortly after finishing her breakfast most days and so I am always looking for new craft projects. One of the best resources of ideas I discover recently was the Make it by the Book (Craft Book) from Parragon Books. As a member of the Book Buddies team, I made a special request to get a copy of this book and I was not disappointed in the contents. There are 80 craft projects that all very creative and use different materials.

Surprise Indoor Picnic Lunch - National Picnic Week
June 11 - 19th, 2016, is National Picnic Week and we have been wishing for sunshine so we could have a picnic in the backyard. Unfortunately, we are having a typical British early summer weather with burst of sunshine but mostly rain and clouds.
My daughter loves having a picnic and especially if it inside on the living room floor where she can invite all your cuddly friends. I thought I would surprise her with picnic lunch. My sweet husband took my Daughter and Son off to the grocery store while I quickly headed to the kitchen to create food that would be perfect for little hands.

Creating a Rainbow Hundreds and Thousands Cake from ASDA for Under £5
Since both my children have birthdays that are within a month of Christmas, we celebrate their half birthdays. This week is my son's 18 Month birthday and so we head off to our local Asda looking for a colourful cake that would perfect to celebrate his birthday.
Lots of children character cakes have soft icing but I personally prefer buttercream frosting. Looking around the cakes we loved the Asda Rainbow Jazzie Cake. This rainbow layers of sponge and white chocolate buttercream with Hundreds and Thousands (aka rainbow round sprinkles) is very fun and reasonable priced at £12.00. Loved it but serves 20+ people. For our family of four this cake was too big.

The Home Life Project - June 2016
Joining Clare from Maybush Studio with her "Home Life Photography Project - June 2016". This monthly photography project involves documenting your daily life for one day per month.
DATE: Sunday, June 5th, 2016
I awoke on the Sunday very cheerful due to the lovely bright morning sunshine beaming into our home. My son started the morning by climbing into his favourite armchair and getting cosy with one of my cameras. He loves pushing the buttons and looking at the screen on the back. I always love to see what images he has captured.
