My Childhood Easter Memories

As we prepare our English home for Easter Sunday, I can not help thinking about my happy childhood memories of Easters growing up in USA. My parents would create a Easter Sunday that was filled with hunting for colourful eggs, pastel coloured candy, yummy food and special gifts to prepare for Spring days.

Mamas & Papas New Store Opening - Westfield Mall, White City, London

One of the first items that we purchased in preparation for the birth of our daughter in 2012 was a moses basket from Mamas & Papas. Even though she outgrew the moses basket, I held onto this cherished item and now it is the home to my daughter's growing collection of dolls and cuddly animals.

We were very excited to hear that Mamas & Papas was opening on Monday, March 21st, 2016 a new store in the Westfield Mall, White City, London. This new store will not only be selling items from their collaboration with Liberty but also is a brand new store concept. 

Grand Opening Celebrations! - You are invited to celebrate on Thursday, March 24th from 10am - 7pm. Bring the whole family because there will be mini master classes for Mums and Dads but also storytelling with Claire Freedman, Author of Aliens Love Underpants. Complimentary pampering, Easter Egg Hunt and a goody bag!

DIY Easy Bunny Decoration with Laura Ashley Wallpaper and Paint

The spring flowers are blooming and it is time to add some spring colours to your home. The new Spring/Summer Collection at Laura Ashley has inspired me to create a quick and easy project in preparation for the visit from the Easter Bunny. I wanted to create a decorative item that would be a quick and budget-friendly project. I created a home decor item using a paper mache bunny shape and a couple of my favourite Laura Ashley wallpapers and paint.

For this project, I used a two pieces of Laura Ashley wallpaper and sample pot of paint. The cost of the paint and paper mache bunny for project cost me less than £10. Laura Ashley's range of paints coordinate with their wallpaper collections. I chose to use Chalk Pink paint with Abbeville Pink Wallpaper and Geranium Pale Topaz Green Floral Wallpaper. Both this wallpapers have elements of the chalk pink colour included in their flower designs.

I decided to document a Thursday in our home this month. I spend most of the day chasing after the Littles Ones and trying to put the house back together after numerous different play activities around the house. We started the day with putting the last screw into Little LadyBug's new bunk bed and then got ready for a friend to come over for a cup of tea. Little Ladybug got a yummy dough from Daddy at lunchtime. The afternoon was filled with packing backpacks for an imaginary airplane ride to the USA to Grandparents House. We did some Easter crafting also. I edited a video in the evening before finishing up working next to a sleeping boy.
