Adventures in Blogging 2015 16/52

I  continue to have lots of ideas of blog posts that I would like to publish but time is very limited at times.  I caught myself being really stressed and saying "I must get that blog post finalised" but actually I am the only person that is putting pressure on myself. Blogging is amazing opportunity to document my life and things that inspire me but never should feel stressed about it.  Blogging can be worked around my family's daily life. Last week, Mr L was on holiday Monday - Wednesday so I did not have much time during the day to blog and so less blog posts than normal.

{THE ORDINARY MOMENTS 15} - Extra Moments with Daddy

We had several "ordinary" moments his week when we got to spend extra time together as family. Mr L (aka Daddy) had Monday - Wednesday off as holiday. Little Ladybug (LL) continue to attend nursery as normal and there is no holiday from Motherhood but it was lovely to have extra time with Mr L.  On Monday, LL went off to Nursery while I took Bumblebee Boy (BB) to his 1st Baby music class without his sister. I loved having some one-on-one time with BB and met a couple new mums.  It was amazing watching BB react to the bubbles and playing with the feathers. He wanted to spend some time on his tummy looking at the bubbles.

Adventures in Blogging 2015 15/52

This last week has been busy working on catching up with blogging from being away during Easter Holiday.   Beside doing several links up with my fellow bloggers last week, I also wrote a "review" for a new toy that I purchased for my daughter. I wanted to create an example of a review that I could provide a company but also it was good practice. I have responded to 6 blogger requests. It was interesting to see whom was applying for this opportunities. I would like to focus more on Pinterest and learn more about picmonkey.

{THE ORDINARY MOMENTS 15} Little Ladybug Growing Up

Last week a group of my fellow mummy bloggers were going through the emotional process of finding out where their children would be starting school in September.  I am very grateful that I have another year before I stay up until past midnight in hopes of finding out as soon as possible if we got our top school choice.  Even though my daughter is not heading off to Reception until September 2016, I still have been thinking alot about how quickly my daughter is growing up.
In February 2013, I went back to work after maternity leave and Little Ladybug started attending day nursery full-time. Dropping her off every morning was very hard and really missed her sweet face during the day. She started out as a Caterpillar. She enjoyed crawling around and learning how to walk and then run.

Hours of Fun with Wilko Play Wooden Garage

I took my 3 year old daughter and baby son into Wilkinson to purchase some paint for a weekend project.  As we headed to the front of the store, we discovered a display that was featuring the Wilko Play! Wooden Garage and the Wilko Play Medieval Wooden Castle on sale from £25 to £20 each.

Weekend Wish List and Next Week Highlights

Today while Little Ladybug (LL) was doing her favourite activity of "making a mess" and Bumblebee Boy (BB) was taking a nap on my lap, I decided to make this "list".
My Weekend Wish List:

1) Enjoy the sunshine. Keep LL from watching to much TV but instead go outside and play. Maybe go see the new visitors centre at Whipsnade Zoo or introduce BB to the big park.

#ChooseBeautiful

While browsing Twitter, I discover an article by Lamb & Bear that spoke about the Dove #ChooseBeautiful marketing campaign. I understand it is a marketing campaign to promote Dove soap but it still made me cry and think about how I view myself and my daughter.

Siblings - April 2015

April was filled with new adventures for "Big Sister" and "Little Brother".
  • Little Brother still thinks Big Sister is the funniest person in the room.
  • Big Sister has been very sweet this month by giving Little Brother some of her "baby" toys to chew and play with.
  • Little Brother is trying to roll-over and is trying to reach his Big Sister. He likes to touch her face.
  • Big Sister is very good at rubbing Little Brother's tummy when he has bubbles in it.
  • Little Brother celebrated his 4th Month Birthday with Big Sister.
  • Big Sister showed Little Brother how much fun it is to play in a cardboard box.
  • Little Brother learned how to paint with his feet with the help of Big Sister.
  • Big Sister loved putting bunny ears on Little Brother.
  • Little Brother enjoys sitting in the big upholstered chair with Big Sister.
  • Big Sister helped Little Brother find Easter Eggs.
  • Big Sister and Little Brother both love the song "Five Little Monkeys".

UK Adventures: Castle Acre Priory, Norfolk

On Easter Sunday morning instead of attending a modern church, we spent the morning walking around the magnificent ruins of Castle Acre Priory, King's Lynn, Norfolk.  The church was consecrated sometime between 1146 and 1148. Additions were added until 1537 when priory dissolved by Henry VIII. Source of Information

50 Things That Make Me Happy! Quiz

The lovely Lisa from Into The Glade! tagged me to take part in the "50 Things That Make Me Happy!" Quiz. Every day my life is filled with moments of happiness due to my loving husband and two beautiful children. I feel very lucky that these special people bring such joy and laughter into my life.

Adventures in Blogging 2015 13 & 14/2015

We had a lovely Easter Weekend Holiday in Norfolk but now I feel completely behind on blogging.  I worked very hard on Thursday before leaving for holiday (vacation) to schedule posts and tweets to be published when away. It was nice to have a break from blogging.

My main job these days is motherhood but I think of blogging is a job also.  Like all jobs, there are moments when I get discouraged blogging but I have complete control on how I dedicate my time. My focus at the moment is to more efficient with my efforts. There are many bloggers that I admire that I want to support by participating in their "link ups".  Joining "link ups" have been a great way to meet other bloggers and for ideas for written and photographic blog postings. I have been mainly focusing on sharing photos and information about my children because they are the main focus in my life right now.  I like the idea of recording my children growing up for the grandparents and myself but I don't know if that is what I want to be the main focus of my blog.

The Week at Ladybug Home 2015 13 & 14/52

Sunday, March 29th - Saturday, April 12th, 2015

The last two weeks have been flown by.  We had our first "Family of Four" holiday during the 4-day Easter Holiday.  It was really lovely to get away from daily life and just enjoying being a family.
We had a lazy Sunday around the house. We started the day with my favourite weekend tradition of Little Ladybug (LL) and I making french toast (aka Eggy Bread).  Lots of cuddles.  Bumblebee Boy (BB) was put into another box.  LL sorted my button collection.

{THE ORDINARY MOMENTS 15} ZSL Whipsnade

A year ago, Mr L and I took Little Ladybug to ZSL Whipsnade Zoo (Dunstable, Bedfordshire) for the first time. We went on a windy March day and bought tickets for the day but quickly decided to purchase an annual membership.  The annual membership includes entrance to ZSL Whipsnade and ZSL London and is worth the value if you plan on visiting at 3 or more times a year. Under 3 years old is free.

We have made many memories at Whipsnade Zoo the last year.  We have been informed by email when an elephant, giraffe, pygmy hippo, and red panda were born. We have watched the baby lemurs play with their mothers and aunties away from the males.
