Blogging, Crying and Smiling - #LittleLoves

This week has been all about re-launching my blog and learning as much as I could from others.

READ
I read lots and lots of blogs this week. I am following 575 blogs/people on bloglovin' and many interesting blog postings this past week.

The top 3 favourite blogs  this week were:

  • Let's Talk Mommy
  • Mommy Daddy Me
  • Oh So Amelia

  • These are all very inspirational and successful blogs.  I look forward to explore more blogs this next week.

I started reading When Love & Culture Collide by Jenny Rapatti of Let's Talk Mommy.  We are both ex-pats from the USA and came to England for love.  I have only gotten the opportunity to read the first couple chapters.  I sat in the living and completely ignored my husband and children for 30 minutes. It was an enjoyable read and very entertaining.  Looking forward to reading more soon.

    Goodbye February - Love Month

I love to decorate my home for the holidays.  My mother has seasonal decorations in our home almost all year round so it is no surprise that starting towards the middle of January I started to thinking about decorating for Valentine's Day.

The start of decorating began when a box of Valentine decorations and crafts arrived from the USA from my mother.  She definitely thinks about me and my Little Ladybug when she goes to the Dollar Store.

My mother and I also decided to create a Valentine wreath this year.  We used this tutorial from Amy from The Idea Room.  My mother purchased the foam heart and cut the required red felt circles to create the below wreath.  The felt is attached with metal pins.

    Raindrops, Pajamas, and Cookies

On this rainy days in England, we are having a lazy day at home. The Little Ones get to stay in their cosy pajamas all day.  I got dressed so I am not completely embarrassed if postman (aka Postman Pat) comes knocking.  Little Ladybug is watching a movie while having a mid-morning snack of crumpets.  Bumblebee Boy has as much milk on-demand he wants while I check out other bloggers on iPad.

I hope this afternoon that we can make some shortbread cookies.  Discovered a new recipe from Somewhat Simple .  My daughter loves mixing cookies up and tasting the dough but this is a perfect option to make shortbread cookie bars quickly when daughter loses interest in baking process.

    {THE ORDINARY MOMENTS 15} #8

The lovely Katie at Mummy Daddy Me has inspired me to start documenting the "ordinary moments" of my family.

In the last couple months there have been several moments that have been extraordinary.  The birth of my Bumblebee Boy on December 9th will be a day that I will never forget.  Little Ladybug's 3rd birthday was very special because we were celebrating her birthday but also spending time with the amazing children and adults that came into our lives because of her.  Another extraordinary moment was when Bumblebee Boy smiled at me for the first time.  I hope I never forget his sweet baby smile and him winking at me.

Since we have new baby in the house, we have spent most of the last couple months at home.  The moments at home could be considered ordinary but these are some of my favourite memories.  I loved watching as my daughter and son have started to interact and respond to each other.

This is my favorite photo from this week.  We had a play date with these special people.  Yummy cupcakes and chance to have a good chat.
