  1. My favourite Christmas tradition has to be making marzipan fruits with my mum! We buy a large block of marzipan, mould the fruit shapes and use cloves as the stalks, then paint them with food colouring using a mini paint brush! They always look super cute and taste delicious!

  13. My tradition is roasting chestnuts on Christmas Eve by our open fire, then munching half and adding the rest to the chestnut stuffing - the house smells amazing and the kids love them popping on the hearth.

  23. My favourite Christmas Tradition is the Christmas Eve Box - once my girls have showered and changed into their pjs for the evening they can open the Box. There's usually a new pair of PJs or a Christmassy jumper or a onesie, their Christmas mugs, with a selection of hot chocolates, popcorn, some new tree decorations for them to add to the tree, a selection of Christmassy films and possibly a new Christmassy craft or colouring book.

  24. Our tradition is letting the children open one present,we wrap up brand new P.J's and a dressing gown each,a christmas dvd and some christmassy nibbles (chocolate coins and candy canes etc).

  28. I love preparing on Christmas Eve sitting in front of the TV getting the vegies ready and sipping a little tipple with a chocolate or two! Then it's time to play Santa and fill the stockings! (Yeah! I know I can't believe it either! I'm Father Christmas!) Every year I'm overwhelmed with a sense of awe and magic from my little man!

  33. So I am German and my partner is British. We have therefore come up with our own little habit that we open half of our presents (preferably the ones coming from Germany) on Christmas Eve (according to German tradition) and the remaining presents on Christmas Day, British style!

  40. mine (since childhood) is a bacon and egg butty while i open my presents... even though i dont live at home anymore, and have my own family, we still go to my parents house on xmas morning for our bacon buttys :-)

  52. My favorite tradition is buying table presents for whoever will be having lunch with us. They have to be funny but relate to that person, we have been doing this for many years and everyone looks forward to it. We laugh so very much
